Don, You may not want to hear this, but speaking as someone who engineered products in the semiconductor manufacturing field for a number of years, I can say that there is no such thing as perfection in imaging arrays. All of the ccd sites vary at least a little bit compared to each other, and some vary more than others. You're seeing a statistical outlier.
