You probably need a new scanner. You won't find many pro labs that still print optical. It's going, going, gone.
I'm just still a better printer than what scanners can do. Pro labs are not the quality benchmarks they once were. They are still very good, but the medium itself is inferior now.
That optical printing is on it's way out has more to do with the economics of the bottom line mentality, than the quality possible from the medium.
At least thats what I think at the moment.
