Good luck! An expired driver's licence is not acceptable according to the current TSA guidelines (from my own experience).

A valid drivers licence is, apparently, as I just came back from a short hop into South Dakota, using only my drivers licence as ID.
The real problem is that the TSA guidlines are not necessarily followed, and if you get a jerk border guard who is running his corner of the planet as his own private fiefdom, the rules don't matter, cause he is making his own up as he goes along.



I'd strongly urge you to get that passport, and be certain.
