Generally, that's quite true.  For example, the Takumar hood for the 105
lens works beautifully on the 50mm lenses, the hood for the 24mm Takumar
works just fine on the K18/3.5, the 85mm Nikon hood works quite well on the
K50/1.2, and on and on ..... and these are examples for full frame 35mm
cameras.  You can probably extend that range considerably when using an APS
sized sensor.
