I doubt if sensor prices will go up. That would be a historic first for any electronic components. However, Pentax has demonstrated their commitment to APS format. That's the only real obstacle to FF, but it's a big one. However, APS will continue to develop, and it will undoubtedly prove quite good. Hell, it's already quite good.

Not trying to belabor the issue. Just trying to say I believe there is a market for such, probably with all 35mm SLR mfr's because of the abundance of legacy lenses.
