You'll love it (when/if it works). I used the Z-1 and Z-1p for 13 years (At work we still have the Z-1p, which has not been used since I got an *ist S). The user concept of this camera is brilliant (modes and HYP-modes). The best user concept I have ever tried. I t beats the *ist D, because of the optional aperture ring setting. Other than that it's very similar to that of the *ist D. In fact one of the reason I never really got used to the MZ-S (with a Super A user concept - mode shift by aperture ring/time wheel).
