I think that's part of the human condition. When I moved to California in 1963, I missed New England. When I later moved to Tennessee in 1973, I missed California AND New England.
I've been back in the Boston area since 1977 and find that I still miss California as well as Tennessee to some extent.
I'm not going to go anywhere else, all this nostalgia is making me old!

I get really sick of going to Boston. We lived there for a year in the 90's and we had a small pond in Arlington heights which looked just the same in the winter. The winter was by the way really nice with white snow and fantastic blue skies.
