When I pick up my LX in the next day or two, I'll ask them exactly what part(s) they can't get, and I'll e-mail Pentax (both Canada and USA) to see if they have them, or can repair that problem. I'm pretty confident that if my shop can't do it, Pentax likely can't. In fact, a year or two ago, they repaired a Pentax zoom for Dave Chang-Sang that Pentax Canada said couldn't be repaired as they didn't have the parts. Still, it's worth a shot.
