I'm running my 22" monitor at 1200x1600 (100DPI) and the reflections are pretty small and could be easily missed. Some people run 17" or 19" monitors at resolutions higher than 100DPI in those cases unless its an exceptional monitor details like your reflections would be lost. I tend to post images at a minimum or 800 pixels on the long side these days and often 1024 pixels.
