As a brand new member of the ranks of Pentax users, DSLR users and this list, I feel really lucky to have joined just in time to take part in such an enjoyable gathering of delightful, knowledgeable people. I only received my *ist DS a few weeks prior to the outing, and this was the first chance I'd really had to actually try using it (as opposed to figuring out how it works). I obviously still have a lot to learn, but so far, I'm loving it.
I'm still holding out for a few checks, but in the meantime here's a couple, with hopefully a few more yet to come.
