Subject: Dumb Photo CD question
I have two Photo CDs from the local camera shop here (the fruits of my shooting the Music Man production at my son's high school).
The CD contains a folder labelled Preview (which contains small jpgs), one called Pictures (which contains large jpgs), and one called DCIM. This also seems to contain large jpgs.
What's a DCIM, and what is the difference between the jpgs it contains and the ones that are in the Pictures folder?
DCIM is the industry standard name for where to look for image files on a removable media.
Kodak kind of goes their own here and puts the files in a folder called pictures.
I actually think that Kodaks naming preceded the DCIM standard.
