On the other hand, if you want to go with eBay (and I don't blame you), do some buying of small items & get fb - say 10, before you list it. Personally, I would specify wire transfer only, and get quotes from a few couriers. Beware of shipping to Russia (some couriers don't), also Turkey & Malaysia where frauds often originate.
