Great stuff!

The first and third are my faves.  The first one, because it's not
what I think of as "Russian".  I think of Russia (no intention to
insult any Russians - or former Russians) as a very bleak place, yet
the cottage looks so cozy and inviting.  The shot of Red Square is
more of what I'd think of as typically Russian;  now ~that's~ bleak,
especially in the winter.

Mind you, all those people give the place character that I've rarely
seen in other Red Square  pictures, even on that cold winter night.

The middle photo's good, too, it just didn't speak to me like the other two.

Thanks, Frank. I feel pretty much the same way about them. I was really ticked off with not being able to get a good shot of the deer. The backgrounds were hideous, whichever angle I tried. The dacha _is_ cosy. Being thrashed with birch twigs in the banya by a nubile 26 year old is a special memory - and I'm not sure which part of that phrase is the bit that brings back good feelings 8-))))
