Don, I own and use both. Bought the PZ-1 first and still like it better for slides. Flash compensation is easier with the PZ-1p, but rarely used by me. Frames per second is a bit faster on the PZ-1p also... Overall, they feel identical and are identical to use. Regards, Bob S.
