Escrow service works like this:

You offer escrow in your terms of payment AND (so they see it) in your description
area.
The buyer pays the fee in exchange for security. A plus for the buyer, is that he can
purchase your lens using his hot plastic. ebay has an area where they discuss
seller-buyer
security, and last time I used ebay, they had escrow service recommendations. I've used
www.iescrow.com (now called http://www.tradenable.com/) with excellent results. The
buyer
pays the fee (4% for credit, 2% for cash). The details of the method is outlined at:

http://www.tradenable.com/demo.html

Seller (you) gets wider bidding audience, instant credibility and security if the item
must be returned.

Buyer gets complete security and the ability to pay with plastic if he wants to.

You both get to track both the shipment of goods and the payment status.

Regards,
Bob...

we were promised perpetual peace.
They swore if we gave up our weapons
that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed they sold us,
and delivered us, bound, to our foe.
And the gods of the copybook headings said,
'Stick to the devil you know.' "
