A scroll of mail from "dosk" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> on Tue, 22 May 2001 15:07:02 -0400 Read it? y >I'm mostly concerned about the changable options. (Such as spot metering >instead of CWt'ed, rewind film leader out or in, etc...) On the PZ-1(p) >these can easily be changed by the camera owner. But specs for the PZ-5 say >these options there can only be changed by an authorized factory rep. So >what happens if the body I get is not set up with the options I prefer? I've got one, although it no longer works. As far as I recall, there are two of us Z-5 owners on the list. The change from Spot-Centre-Marix metering can still be done, you just can't change the order in which they appear. I know of no way to change from 1/2 stops to 1/3 stops or any of the Pentax Functions as there is no PF section on the mode switch. As for changing the options, well, Pentax Japan is probably your best bet, or jut get yourself a PZ-1p. As far as I know, the Z-5 was a Japan only model and only produced for something like a year or two. It's a nice camera, but you'll always want a Z-1 after using it. Oh yeah, it doesn't have the Z-1's interval mode either. dave - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
