Here's the whole scoop regards APS film formats vs the similar
sized DSLR sensor formats.

format: proportion - dimensions - diagonal
----- ------- -----------------------
APS-C: 2:3 - 16.7x25.1mm - 30.12mm
APS-H: 9:16 - 16.7x30.2mm - 34.5mm
APS-P: 1:3 - 9.5x30.2mm - 31.65mm
FourThirds: 3:4 - 13.5x18mm - 22.5mm
Canon "APS-C": 2:3 - 15x22.5mm - 27.04mm
Nikon/Pentax/Minolta "APS-C": 2:3 - 15.7x23.5mm - 28.3mm

APS-C film format is close but not the same as the "APS-C"
sensor formats.
