I use twp monolights, which means each strobe has its own power supply. I'm
quite happy with them. They're 330 watts each. Theyre called Excalilbur
3200, and they're made by SP Systems. I have a third 120 watt unit that I
use for a hair light. I'm going to add a fourth for a background light. The
two 3200s, hair light, stands, and reflectors are available as a kit.
They're portable enough to take to other locations and come with two cases
for transport.
Hey, Steady! I have the very same kit. Is that spooky or what?
Actually I already added the second "small" light shortly after I bought the
kit, and a bigger, stronger light stand after one of the larger ones in the
kit toppled over with one of the 3200s on it, and another umbrella, but I
*started* with the very same kit ... :-)
Oh, yeah -- I keep a power strip in one of the cases as well as the other
stuff.
