This is not entirely true, but I'm exhausted in debating the
issue. Film and digital sensors are completely different things,
optically speaking, and their different characteristics makes
such statements overly simplistic.
The good news is that all of the Pentax-A, Pentax-M and
Pentax-FA lenses I've purchased have performed remarkably well
on the *ist DS: The A3 and A3 Super prints I'm making from them
are satisfyingly free of lens defects and look great to both me
and to the people buying them.
