There is a new RAW converter modeled after Capture One, in fact by a split-off group of C1 designers. As I quite liked the ease of editing many files at once in C1, it is interesting to me. Seems they have made the UI more intuitive for average photographer than the Capture and Session confusion in C1. How good is it - can't tell now. I have just installed it.
As they are an upstart company, they have released the first version (and maybe few next upgrades?) for free... good strategy :-) It also supports Ist D & DS. This aint no plug for it. I was quite tired of trying all the different trials of the many RAW converters on the market, and will have to try one more... Sigh. If it brings the best of quick workflow from C1 with more photographer-intuitive features and good conversion quality, I will consider using this. We will see...
