I like the lighting in the original traffic picture, though, as mentioned, it's not all that interesting of a subject all on its own. I can certainly see a series being built around it though.
In the same vein of photographing while driving, http://www.matoe.org/pics/fall_foliage_2003/roll5/tn/027_25.jpg.html Super Program, A50/1.4, auto everything, Nice thing about the combo is that the FOV is the same through the viewfinder as outside of it, so I can raise the camera to my eye without too much disorientation.
