Mission San Juan Bautista would be almost 2 hours drive away from San

they form.

I nominate Mission San Jose. It looks interesting. It's close to John Francis
and would be about 1 1/2 hours at the max for me, and probably about the same
for Pat. And only a tad longer for Shel.

And although it's been fully restored, it looks nicely old and crumbly. It
has a good rose window and a neat door and arches and everything one would want
in a mission. I am not sure about when it is open yet; haven't looked it up
yet. Here's some good pictures:

It was also once one of the most important missions.
