Oooh, aahh, uuuhhhrrrggghhh. I'm so frustrated I just want to scream.
A couple of hours ago I was scanning some slides, and then when I pressed the eject button to change the slides mounted, the scanner suddenly just made a quiet "brrrrr" sound and didn't push the slide-holder out.
After that, Windows stopped recognizing my scanner.
"Usb device not recognized, one of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and windows does not recognize it."
Thanks for that helpful error message, which is the only thing Windows is willing to tell me.
So for the past 2 hours I've been reinstalling drivers, giving it slight bangs, well everything I can think of. Nothing.
Stone cold dead.
Why does this stuff always happen to me?
Well, any hints or suggestions before I go to sleep and call Minolta tomorrow?
Driver has been reinstall, windows has been rebooted too many times to count. I've changed all the cords, blown dust, everything I could think of.
