The SF1 eyecup is unique in that it has a tiny plastic window on the left that allows the user to see the RTF flash-ready light, which is not actually in the viewfinder but a separate light to the left of the eyepiece. I don't know why they did that, as any external flash gets a ready light in the viewfinder itself and subsequent cameras, like the PZ-1 and onward, used separate icons in the viewfinder for RTF and external flash-ready signals.

The last two eyecups on eBay went for about $28 and more than $30, I believe.

These have gotten rare and a bit pricey in the past couple of months, it seems -- does anyone have one for sale or trade?

I've been looking for one for a fellow for a number of years, with no success. I don't suppose anyone knows if an istD eyecup will fit an SF1?
