Hi Paul, I've been opening your RAW images and NEF (Nikon) in\mages without using the browser, just by clicking on the file. However, I may have set my file associations to allow this automatically. Still, if opening from WITHIN Photoshop there should be no problem. However, Fred, take note, if you've not updated your camera raw with the latest version from Adobe, the ACR may not recognize the PEF files. You might want to download ACR 2.3 if you've not already done so, and also check to see that the needed files are in their proper folders.
