However, time flies and I would like to think that GFM 2006 is on the cards.

I used wingra's groupwise migrator http://www.wingra.com/solutions/dest_exchange.html and found it excellent. May be a worth looking at their lotus notes version. They will give you a fully function version limited to 5 user migration and every migrated email stamped with [wingra] in the subject line (and othe limitations in number of messages transferred). Enough for you to get it working and check if the features are usable.
With the groupwise version, you still needed admin rights to the groupwise system and I think any migration tool will need that, so I think the arent is just going to have to bend the rules or set up a temp admin account for the migration (and remove it afterwards).
If you want notes/exchange interoperability through the migration then you will need to use the lotus notes connector. This depends on your environment, you could just get away with forwarding from the notes mailbox to the exchange mailbox , depends on the email naming conventions you have between the servers (i.e both with [EMAIL PROTECTED] or one is [EMAIL PROTECTED] and the other is [EMAIL PROTECTED])

My (Exchange 2003) shop will shortly take over the operations of a business unit in our parent organization. The 80-odd users in that business unit are currently served by Lotus Notes on central servers controlled by the parent. I just learned that the parent org has a third-party storage warehouse for attachments, but I don't yet know anything about it except that the links don't work from Outlook.
We have configured our firewall to allow Lotus clients on our domain, and the parent has permitted the userids in question to pass through that firewall. We have tested the Lotus 5 client in our site successfully. The parent org does not and will not allow admin IDs over the firewall; does that mean the Exchange Migration Wizard is a non-option? I'm looking into third-party tools just in case.
I know there are dozens of migration tools out there, but I don't know which are any good. Can someone recommend one or two? =20

This is the stupidest thing I have ever done....i am ashamed to even mention it...but I need to know the cause it will have on my car....so here goes the story
trying to save every penny I can....I avoid getting gas at expensive
gas stations and insist on going to the cheapest one...well one day I
overestimated the amount of gas I had...and I ended up breaking down
on the freeway...I called my mom to bring a gas can...well she
happensto bring the one gas can with a broken spout...I spend 15
minutes trying to pout in the gas but the nozzle won't reach the the
flap in the gas tank to open it...so the gas just fills up in that
little overflow thing and spills on the ground...I knew I had to
somehow get the flap open...so I grab the only long skinny thing i can
find..which happens to be a socket extension for my ratchet...so I sit
there holding the flap open while my mother pours the gasoline into
the car...all is well..UNTIL...my fingers got pinched in between the
gas can and the car and the extension fell into the gas tank..my
question is..will this cause harm? if so what can I do?

so bad, someone can inform Tim Uzzanti that there're actually busy websites built in CF :-)
You'd think he could just look at his logs... CrystalTech hosts several popular CF sites (very well, I might add).
I still wonder at the context of the quote (the queote itself has been published her what, 10 times so far - but no citation or context has been given). In my experience CrystalTech is pretty pro CF.

The open handler works only when files are dropped on the droplet or when the open handler is explicitly called from within the script.
So, have the run handler call the open handler.
But then where's the list of passed files? Can the run handler accept a file/aliast list?
FYI, this isn't how things work in my experience. I have built lots of droplets that work this way - called by other apps which pass lists of aliases via the open event, not run... I could be wrong, but if one app wants another to open a list of files, doesn't it always use the open event (not run)? That's what I've always understood.
