I use one of these:

for all my product shots, with the two daylight
flourescent lamps Rob recommended it works very
well for cameras, lenses, etc.
You could easily make one from and old white bedsheet
too!
Just arrange it like a tent with the two lights outside.
Makes for nice soft even light.
