Like it or not, the USA and Canada are not the home markets for Pentax.  A 
more precise question would instead be "Is Pentax Canada broken?" or "Is 
Pentax USA broken?" 

Can anyone comment on Pentax presence and sales in Japan? 

On a related note, some of the *ist-D and *ist-Ds users on the dpreview.com 
Pentax DSLR forum have complained recently about the lack of availability of 
certain SLR lenses.  Perhaps the DSLRs are starting to drive demand for SLR 
lenses up? 

Thoughts?
