if you look behind the keywords, they are describing topics in a hierarchical system. that is the only logical way to broaden or narrow searches. adding or removing keywords does in an ad-hoc manner. go to any shopping web site to see why you need to organize your pictures into hierarchical categories. ecommerce sites live and die by how easy it is to find things. keywords are just to get you started.
