Hah! Not very likely, I'm not an engineer. I just do enough to get me by. I can use a Pentax K or A lens on a non-Pentax camera in stop-down metering mode using manual or aperture priority. As far as I can gather, this is what *ist D users have to do anyway. Given that I love manual focus SMC lenses but prefer features on a DSLR not found on a Pentax model, it simply seems a logical progression to adapt. I'm still a Pentax fan.
