I don't know, I hope it doesn't come to that. Regardless of the technology they 
will always be a very different tools, each has it's positive and negative 
attributes but I believe that for most still photography an optical VF will 
remain most desirable.

Video cams are a completely difference market segment and in any case I don't 
know of any mainstream video cam that has had an optical finder system?
