I just looked at my AF 080C. The ring appears to be attached via a spring clip. My advice is to pass on the item if that part is missing unless you enjoy trying to jury rig things to make them work. If you got a great bargain on the item then it might be worth the aggravation. If you're paying close to $100 for it then I'd pass. KEH has a Sunpak DX-8R with the Pentax module in excellent condition for $89. Tom Reese
