Or, to be strictly accurate, my wife did. Unfortunately it's attached to a Casio body - the Exilim Z-40. Her primary requirements were small size & easy to use, and the Casio scored high on both fronts. Unfortunately none of the local shops we tried had any of the Pentax compacts in stock (although one of them did have the *ist-D and several DA 16-45s).
The Casio looks pretty nice; the shutter lag is much better than most digital compacts, and it seems to have several other interesting features, although I haven't yet had a chance to play with it.
