Well have a wonderful vacation, Shel. That was not the part that disturbed me.
Yes, you are correct, just showing random photos on the list can give an incorrect impression of ones body of work. You might want to think about setting up a portfolio webpage sometime.

Your comments have little to do with my decision. I've not had a vacation since 1997! have gone thru a lot of stress the past year or so, and want to explore new directions in photography and in my personal life, better integrating the two areas. I don't consider myself to be a "street photographer" although I can see how I can be considered that by some people. Ironic coincidence - had a couple of photogs look at much of my work today, and they described it as a type of portraiture. IMO, street photography, and just for the record, I dislike that term, is far more random than what most of my work is about. Even the seemingly random shots are not, as they are often part of an overall theme, which, due to limitations of my time and the format of the venue here, cannot be fully shown or explored.

I hope my disagreeing with you had nothing to do with this decision. For
one
thing there are five people on the list I consider truely excellent
street
photographers. You are one of those five. You have contributed a lot of
useful
information to the list. I, for one, think the list will be poorer
without you here.

Time for me to move on. Have a long vacation coming up in a few days
and I
probably won't return to the list for quite some time. Frankly, I don't feel much a part of things here ... so, thanks to all who've been
helpful.
I hope I've been able to help or influence one or two people in a
positive
way. Be good, boys and girls ... Ciao.
