Also this info is used by Z1/Z1-p for Power Zoom functions, like the "zoom
clip mode" and "image size track" mode.

My cheapo 35-70 that came with the SFX does indeed transmit the focal
length, since in automode the SFX know if its in wide, normal or
telephoto mode.
