It's not a river, it's the road :)

That photo was taken on the way in, the PAW one must have been taken on the way out, two days later. The day in-between was gloriously sunny without a cloud in the sky. We really got lucky on that trip. I'll have to see if I have a 6x7 version of that second shot as I really like the clouds and fog.
BTW the average annual rainfall for that area is about 7 metres (276 inches).
