Marnie, I apologise. An Airport card is simply a small electronic box,
very similar to a PC card, that fits inside a computer (in this case
Apple) and allows wireless access to another computer and/or a base
station (called an Airport Base Station - ABS ) so that you can have
internet access without wires. Useful for portables as you can choose
which room of the house to sit in while doing email. Basically a wireless
network.
