Yes, the lens remains the same.  Ansel Adam's book, "The Camera", makes it
clear.  A 50mm lens is a 50mm lens regardless of whether it's on an APS
camera or an 8x10 field camera.  The subject itself  remains the same size
on the film plane regardless of format.
