Nope Paul, they would be the same sunflowers, it just depends on the
weather. We have had great rains throughout QLD in the past month and
nothing really for most of last year, so planting was "held back" in the
hope of rain. Sooo, now that we have had so much rain and flooding over the
past 3 to 4 weeks, the farmers are madly ploughing and planting, with
sunflower crops expected to be blooming in April. During a "normal" season,
one would expect to see them in January/February, but this totally depends
on weather conditions and when the farmers decide to plant etc....

Now, as for your whiskey concerns - had you been ordering a Rum and Coke, I
think you'd find the exact opposite! Whiskey is probably a bit too
sophisticated a drink for the country folk around these parts, and so your
bar attendant may have been being very conservative. Stagger into the pub
and yell, "hit me with a Bundy mate", and you'd probably receive a glass
containing 3/4 Bundaberg Rum, a big handful of ice, and just enough Coke to
darken the colour! (yuck!)...

Me, I prefer to drink Fire Engines - .... without the Vodka... hehehe....

Oh, and flies, shcmies! You just have to learn to keep you mouth closed and
not to take any deep breaths or you could end up with an unwanted late
afternoon snack... (eeeeeew!)

tan.
