About the only thing you can be certain of nowadays is that the
one person who *didn't* send you that virus-laden email is the
person whose name appears in the "From:" field.

Viruses grab "From" addresses as well as "To" addresses (and
may even relay the virus email, complete with forged sender
address, through a third-party relay host).

Sometims the "From" address is random, and changes with every
email recipient; sometimes the same address is used for many
messages (often resulting in flooding some innocent party's
mailbox with vituperative complaints from naive victims).
