No, his camera never broke down. Which is quite a good testimony, imo. He had also an F5 and 180 rolls of film for backup, of which he took 2 rolls. He said he's planning another trip in 6 months, which will be digital only.
Obviously a PJ that knows his trade and exploiting the potentials of his gear to the max. Most of the pictures he showed were crap, though. LOL.
