By focusing rubber,do you mean the long knurly rotating piece.If so how do you remove it
to get to the
screws.

The whole focus ring is covered by a large piece of rubber. You only need to peel off the edge near the distance scale to access those screws. You might need a tiny slot screwdriver for the job because the rubber is quite stiff.


Yes it feels loose when rotating.My M 135 and M 150 have this large knurled focus ring and
are quite
stiff.I have no problems with those two moving focus on me,just the SMC-PENTAX A 70-210

With enough usage, the M135/150 can become a little loose as well. If they are stiff, it means they didn't receive much use over the years. The stiffness of the focus ring on these prime lenses is determined by the tolerance of the threads and the grade of the grease being applied. For instance, the old grease could be removed and applied some lighter grease for lighter and faster manual focus.
