Oh, just realised that you asked about time - well, generally, if i am doing
makeup, i just spend the entire day with them - start at around 10am, finish
faces by around say 2pm (if the wedding is at 3pm for eg), shoot bridal
shots pre-ceremony, follow her to ceremony (or go ahead to shoot her arrival
at church/ceremony location), shoot ceremony, go to a few different
locations until we lose light and then just stay with them until usually
around the 7pm-8pm mark at which time I will do a mockup of the cake/waltz
having filled my time since their arrival at the reception with still-lifes
of the cake/bouquets/reception venue/table settings etc. Sooo, I guess, if
you count the hours, it is an average of around 10 hours for a full wedding,
and let me tell you, the smells of the yummy food at the reception make sure
that I am generally STARVING by the end of it....!

Is this a "normal" setup? If I offer anything less, I find myself
apologising as they demand "more". I have even had them ask me to stay
until they leave the reception which is usually around midnight. I have
never done this, but I have certainly considered it after feeling "bad" that
I wasn't giving them a proper service...

tan.
