>From Bill's bag of tricks:

1) Use a Pentax dedicated auto flash.
2) turn on flash and camera (in auto).
3) set f/stop as per guide on flash.
4) compose, focus and shoot.

Not quite as dumb as using a TTL dedicated, but only one more step, and
there are no myriads of buttons on an ME-S.
