Chris, predictive AF doesn't does not work in the PZ-1p single-shot AF.
Instead it works as a focus lock in that mode in case you want to re-compose 
your shot after attaining focus on your subject (i.e. putting your subject 
off-center on the picture frame) provided you continously press the shutter 
release halfway down.

Also, the film advance motor goes only about 2.5 fps in the servo mode.
The 4 fps. capability only works in the single-shot AF mode.
