Dave, I handhold my 67ii all the time. Basically, when I can use a tripod I do, but I don't fret when a tripod will get in the way. I suspect that the vibration issue only really shows up with long lenses. I always use a tripod or monopod when shooting the 300. I wouldn't want to handhold that even if it were 35mm. You do need to practice good technique (proper legs & head, dampen the body, MLU, etc).
I'm always impressed when I get back enlargements from 67 negs.
