Pat, One of those lenses is really a deal or one is way overpriced.
You can get the M 50mm f2 for $15 or $20, anytime. The FA 50mm f2.8 Macro is a $150+ lens new. Used, a great price for the non-autofocus version would be $75. I've used the A 50mm f2.8 Macro as a normal lens. It is very sharp, but slower than the A 50/1.4 I was using. At f2.0, you wouldn't notice much difference. The focusing grip on the FA would also be less attractive. But... For the same (reasonable) price, I'd take the FA 50mm f2.8 Macro anytime! The image quality is better, the macro distances make copy work easier, and the price sounds good. Regards, Bob S. [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > I have a choice between the two Pentax lenses.
