Weighing the *possibility* that Pentax might have a full-frame DSLR in
the future against the *certainty* that Canon does have one now does not
fill me with hope.

It is if I think it will take me that long to acquire a good selection
of lenses to go with it. (Realistically, I think one year would be the
approximate time-frame.) This is still all highly speculative, though.
I'm not planning on switching at this point. Just evaluating the
situation and weighing the options.
