Hi Marnie; The other thing to remember is that if all you have are autofocus lenses then all will work fine on the new bodies including the *ist D as all AF lenses have electrical contacts on them. Admittedly, I have used few AF bodies but I have not had any complaints with the AF on the Z-1P (PZ-1p) including the action shot I submitted for July's PUG. I'm still waiting for my Brightscreen 2020 for it to see if that helps focusing with MF lenses. So I wouldn't rush to change based on those criteria.
