im-age (im'ij) n., v. <-aged, -ag-ing> n. 1. a physical likeness or representation of a person, animal, or thing, photographed, painted, sculptured, or otherwise made visible.
This is the general term that include both photographs and inkjet prints. It's what mammal is to humans and monkeys. Hell, it includes all forms of visual arts.
If you guys are looking for the general term, it's "image". If you insist in confusing particular instances of it, like pretending that an inkjet print is a photograph, I could as well suspect that you're a monkey pretending to be a human.
